2019 Tundra: The Pickup Truck from Toyota

Toyota is known to make some of the toughest trucks out there since long and the beefy Tundra is no different. Pickup trucks are now no more just meant for the commercial segment and those who want to get work done. Trucks are now becoming more popular with the urban segment who want to hit the beaten track and are keen to get a ride that’s reliable, extra tough, rugged, has towing and trailering capability and at the same time provide the luxury, comfort, convenience and entertainment that’s the domain of a typical family SUVs. As we look at some of the trucks in this category, McCall Toyota dealer was quick to point us towards the 2019 Tundra – the pickup truck from Toyota has all this and more.

Built for the Kill

The 2019 Tundra is offered in six different models – namely the SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition and TRD Pro each featuring various trims amounting to a wide selection of 21 different trims. The most prominent feature you will find on the body of the bold and strongly built body of the Tundra is the tough front grille and rugged skid plate.

An easy lower and lift tailgate is standard across the models and the Limited onwards you get LED Headlights and fog lights as standard. Taillights and stop lights with dual vortex generators are standard across the trims. The Limited onwards are featured 20-inch split 5-spoke wheels that are 6-spoke in the Platinum. The basic models provide seating for up to 6 passengers including driver, but as you go up the higher models you get space for 5 due to some added extras. An integrated backup camera is part of the standard offering and so is a 4.2-in. TFT Multi-Information Display with a Integrated Trailer Brake Controller Monitor for the Tundra’s that have one.

The Limited onwards you have an automatic Dual-zone climate control with dust and pollen filter but the 12V Auxiliary Power Outlets, with two in front and one in the rear are present across the trims which is very useful.
