What’s new with Skoda Koraq in 2020

The Skoda Koraq has been on sale in Australia now for around 2 years. The model is a medium-sized SUV (sports utility vehicle) that has created some stiff competition against some of its biggest rivals.

The Skoda Koraq 2020 has a very European design on the outside, and on the inside it is a very compact car. In fact, its’ seats that are completely removable. With the seats in place, there is a generous 479 litres of cargo capacity for owners to play with, and with seats completely removed this space up-scales to a whopping 1810L of storage space. Underneath, you still have a space saving wheel.

This model of car from Skoda is practical and technologically savvy. In the front there are generously sized door pockets and a few decent loose item storage pockets, with medium sized cup holders. The Koraq comes with an optional 9.2-inch display, which is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

What is the Skoda Karoq based on?

Built by the Czech car manufacturer Skoda Auto, the Karoq is based on the VW MQB platform.

The Karoq was revealed in May 2017, as a replacement for the Skoda Yeti model.

The Skoda Yeti was a hugely popular and distinctive family SUV for many years before the Czech brand decided to discontinue its’ line. However, we are happy to say: out with the old and in with the new!

The Karoq is a car which manages to trump the Yeti in its’ handling on the road. What is the difference between Skoda Kodiaq and Karoq?

The Skoda Kodiaq is an award-winning seven-seat SUV that has been a popular model for families since it was first launched in 2016.

The Karoq is a smaller, more compact car than the Kodiaq. Instead of seven seats, it features five. Unless you have a large family or frequently carry a large number of passengers on road trips that might make the Kodiaq a better choice, the Karoq is probably more sufficient to your needs.

Technology has advanced very quickly, and this is reflective on the touchscreen of the Karoq, which is a much more superior piece of technology to the one used for the Kodiaq. It has enhanced graphics and features that will bring your infotainment experience bang up-to-date.

Both models have a “premium” feel to the materials which have been used on the dashboard and the doors, so with either model you decide upon, you will be driving in a car that has a luxurious feel.
